The day we noticed our majestic Crabapple Tree was gone we were devastated. That particular tree was the center of life for many years. The tree had to come down and we wanted to do it in a way that would honour the tree and honour the traditions of the tree.
It didn’t seem right to just cut this special tree down and chip it or use it for firewood. We thought we could treat it better. That was a family project. And one day a sad-looking dead tree turned into the bright and colorful full of life birdy village.
