I recently completed a custom acoustic wall art project for a private client in Quebec. The work included two large-format (30″ × 40″) handcrafted wooden sound diffuser panels designed specifically for their audio listening space.

This project was about combining acoustic performance with custom wood art and furniture design. Besides that, the goal was not only to improve room acoustics, but also to create statement pieces that visually anchor the entire audio wall.

Each sound diffuser panel was designed and handmade, using carefully selected natural wood. The assemblage pattern is not only decorative — it is designed to diffuse sound reflections, helping to reduce echo, standing waves, and sound coloration. This makes the panels ideal for listening rooms, home theatres, studios, and modern living spaces where sound quality matters.

The client requested large-scale pieces, so both diffusers were custom-sized and proportioned specifically for the wall and audio system. Every detail was considered: dimensions, depth, wood tone, and overall visual balance.

From the beginning, this project was treated as an art piece, not only as acoustic equipment. The panels needed to stand on their own visually, even if you didn’t know they were designed to work with sound. The acoustic function was important, but it followed the composition, scale, and rhythm of the design.

If you are looking for custom acoustic panels, wooden sound diffusers made in Canada, or bespoke acoustic wall art that enhances both sound and interior design, feel free to reach out.
